The Connecticut (CT) Statewide Grand Rounds Series, is a high-level, HIV syndemic focused training series aimed at providing the most up-to-date information and education for medical health care team members currently involved in HIV care looking to increase their ability to prevent new HIV infections, identify people with HIV who are undiagnosed or out of care, and link patients not on antiretrovirals to care to achieve viral suppression.
This session, Perinatal Transmission & Lactation, will be presented by Katherine Campbell, MD, MPH, Associate Professor, OB, Gynecology & Reproductive Science at Yale School of Medicine.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe typical approach to care during pregnancy and the peripartum period in individuals living with HIV
- Review the updated guidelines regarding lactation in individuals living with HIV
- Discuss how to optimize perinatal care for individuals living with HIV
