The Connecticut (CT) Statewide Grand Rounds Series, is a high-level, HIV syndemic focused training series aimed at providing the most up-to-date information and education for medical health care team members currently involved in HIV care looking to increase their ability to prevent new HIV infections, identify people with HIV who are undiagnosed or out of care, and link patients not on antiretrovirals to care to achieve viral suppression.
This session, HIV & Cancer, will be presented by Brinda Emu, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) at Yale School of Medicine.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand current status of HIV-associated cancer epidemiology.
- Learn current cancer screening guidelines for people with HIV.
- Understand common cancer treatment modalities and their impact on HIV and cancer outcomes among PWH.
