Title: nPEP – HIV Non-Occupational Post-Exposure Prophylaxis

Speaker: Aubrey Byron, BSN, RN, ACRN

Brief Overview: This talk will empower clinicians to confidently prescribe nPEP to those at risk for HIV infection, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up recommendations for people with known or potential exposures to HIV. Health care providers should evaluate persons rapidly for nPEP; it must be started as soon as possible to be effective—within 72 hours of a possible exposure.
